Unique Qualities:
In my 20 years of practice I have studied people and bodies of all ages. Each person is like a road map and I listen to them with my eyes, ears, hands and intuition. Through touch, movement, emotion and breath together we bring awareness and connection of body, mind and spirit.
My office is a warm and safe environment which allows one to feel calm and more receptive for relaxing and letting go. In some situations essential oils and healing stones are used.
Feldenkrais classes look somewhat like a yoga class but in Feldenkrais we play with a position or action throughout the class, unlike yoga that works on a series of postures. In a private session, clothed, lying on a low table, hands on I gently and slowly guide you into movement focusing on the structure and nervous system. This work helps you connect body and mind with more awareness and understanding. Restricted movement is noticed and new possibilities are introduced unlocking not only limited movement and pain but the mind also becomes more flexible.
Jin Shin Jyutsu is an old Japanese art of the perfect expression of harmony. This Physio-Philososphy practice is a way to balance life energy. Clothed like Reiki sessions, hands holding specific points as jumper cables using pathways or flows that follow meridians in the body, I quietly listen with highest intent through my hands, heart and intuition to the pulse, tone and texture, waiting until the two points balance.
